E with understanding of the body as part of a nature-culture continuum motivate the examples of this essay. Place Dance site-specific improvisations show that learning through curiosity is vital to somatic encounters and ethics. Virtue ethics and value theory position this work, where values arise first as possibilities or promises, actualized in our lives and dances but not guaranteed. Here we recognize an abundance of somatic values as guides to consider in a future worth having.
