This chapter reflects on the approaches of and findings from an intergenerational arts programme commissioned as part of the Amana Living Arts Festival. Working with a not-for-profit provider of care services for people as they age, our project brought together a metropolitan nursing home and a local independent primary school, where participants shared stories through creativity. Using applied arts approaches over an eight-week period, the project brought together a group of twelve older people with twelve Year 5 and 6 students, demonstrating that community art programmes offer new ways to communicate, experiment and celebrate together.
