‘Latching Onto Music’: A Personal Journey through UK Subcultures

My story of subculture is one of a love of music, dancing, style, and creativity. In this vignette I share some stories and excerpts of my experiences in UK subculture from mod, soul boy through to rave, beginning from my parents' experiences in the 1950s to my own from the late 1970s to the mid-1990s, and my thoughts on today's subculture for young people.
