This chapter aims to analyse contemporary music representations in music videos regarding sexualization and racialization. In doing so, a content analysis is conducted to further theorize about the differences between both subject and objectification portrayals, considering sensual and sexual characteristics. The idea is to problematize these characteristics by approaching to them through the racial phenotype bias among those representations. The main contribution of this chapter is focused 1) on the development of content analysis, 2) on the theorization of the Music Analysis of Sexualization: MAS-Model to deepen the representations among music videos, and 3) on a decolonial reasoning towards sexualization practices when it comes to racialized bodies. Hence, both the discussion of the model and a theoretical proposal to approach sexualization portrayals in music videos are presented in this chapter.
