This chapter is a dialogue between Cecilia Fajardo-Hill, an expert on Latinx Art, and Amelia Jones, the editor of the book/catalogue who is also the curator of the accompanying exhibition on the work of Ken Gonzales-Day, pivoting around the meaning and context of Gonzales-Day's work in relation to “embodied Brown historicity.” Fajardo-Hill puts the artist's work in the context of queer Latinx contemporary art.
