Dialogues 2

The articles were given as papers at an International Postgraduate conference on Endings held jointly by Exeter and Bristol Universities in July 1998.

They reflect a wide area of specialisms whilst being linked by the common theme of endings which lead to fruitful exchanges of ideas. Areas covered include the end of time, narrative closures, a large section on postcolonialism, 20th century ideologies, and death. What makes the volume of interest is the voice it gives to young scholars who would perhaps otherwise not have offered their papers for publication. The conference was a great success as people were able to discuss ideas freely in relaxed atmosphere.
