Abstract
Paul Anthony Knowles, Madeleine Sinclair and Ana García-Soriano introduce the first of two Special Issues of Short Fiction in Theory and Practice, dedicated to the theme of landscape and temporality in the short story and the short story cycle. They reflect on the process of editing and arranging the articles and how they mirror recent theoretical developments which re-configure Bakhtin’s concept of the Chronotope in new and experimental ways.
