Abstract

Celebrities like Paris Hilton have taught us to dress our dogs in designer clothes and ensure they are always treated with kindness and respect. She continues her work with dog rescues and even adopted one from the recent California wildfires. But she soon had to give him up when the owners of the dog returned after seeing him in the media. Dogs have become a special part of my life as well. For the past eighteen years, I have gotten up and taken my four-legged child outside to potty. Her name was Ruby (she came to us with that name). She was a Jug (a mix of Jack Russell and Pug). You never think the impact of losing a family pet will be so hurtful and for me it has been a journey.
