Abstract

The virtual International Society for Music Education (ISME) Early Childhood Music Education (ECME) seminar in July 2022, featured a provocative theme, Research papers, poster presentations and the keynote by Pauline Harris led us to consider ways to cast our attention on children’s voices and music. By listening deeply and visibly, we can expand our understanding of young children as musickers, leading to improved pedagogy, while providing a compass for further inquiry.
