Abstract
This editorial begins with a depiction of the landscape of early childhood music education in the United States and a call for the profession to seek a more cohesive whole. Like this landscape, the contents of this issue of the International Journal of Music in Early Childhood (IJMEC) reflect varied approaches, contexts and settings. The issue is comprised of three parts: original research reports, content from the 2024 Early Childhood Music & Movement Association’s (ECMMA) international convention and a book review.
