Jacqueline Humphries has produced this visual essay in response to the interview with David Ryan in this issue. It addresses some of the concerns of that discussion, and the artist has added,

[t]his visual essay was made from photographs I took at the Carlsberg Museum in Copenhagen, digital files I use to make tools for painting, and various studio ephemera resulting from my working process. It is meant to reflect and illustrate some of the ideas expressed in the interview.
