Abstract

This issue of demonstrates the methodological diversity characterizing contemporary cinema scholarship. Four contributions span from the archival reconstruction of a lost Swedish children’s film and a documentary on Bronze Age artworks to theoretical analyses of irony and environmentalim in Icelandic cinema and Finnish production paradoxes. Together, they reveal how both historical case studies and theoretical applications contribute to an expanding field.
