Abstract

This article is written about a series of photographs taken by the artist/writer Bernard Walsh, called Bernard Walsh’s World Series. The photographs are intended to form part of an exhibition that will travel to cities around the world, including those cities where the photographs were originally taken; Seoul, Tokyo, Istanbul, Lisbon, Rome, Berlin, Kaunas and Los Angeles. This article explores issues raised by the selection of images and the notion of a world series becoming the specific context for this exhibition.
