Abstract

The article reflects upon the four-act performance It Was My Pleasure More than Once, places it in the wider context of Brecelj’s engagement and questions the contemporary effects of such activism and the policy of persevering. Brecelj’s soft-terrorist actions, continuous candidacies for the mayor of Koper and interventions enter complex relationships of artistic expression and legislation. He embodies the autonomous idea of sustainable performance, permanent rebellion and continuous usurpation of space.
