Abstract

The article is a deliberate gesture of attempting to establish a dialogue with the social, extracting its content and arising from the author’s (intimate) experiential perspective, while being aware of the many advantages, as well as traps, in employing this particular format. In the context of questioning social class relations and private-professional positions within them, the author discloses her own personal timeline of transitioning between different social classes, while also uncovering the intellectual (psychological) and emotional impact of this ‘transition’ – everything from pride to success to insecurity and shame.
