Abstract

Metal scenes were forced to address the pandemic like many other groups and organizations around the world. This introduction begins the conversation you will see in this issue of . The first section of the introduction makes connections to the Dayton metal scene and its struggles and then leads into ways that scenes could have approached the pandemic. The chapter concludes with brief paragraphs explaining the five articles that are the focus of this issue: scenes from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Turkey, the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise, Serbia and France.
