ASHTAR Theatre: The New Gaza Monologues 2024 – A filmed reading by the Anam Cara Collective

In 2024, ASHTAR Theatre launched the New Gaza Monologues 2024, a collection of nineteen new testimonies by the same authors who, as teenagers, penned the original 2010 monologues. These updated stories document their lived experiences during the ongoing war and genocide in Gaza since October 2023. During fall 2025, the Anam Cara Collective read and recorded one of the New Gaza Monologues in solidarity with the Palestinian people and ASHTAR Theatre, and posted them online from 13 September to 1 October.
