Abstract

The T-Shirt suffers from a redemptive optimism that risks undercutting its humanistic appeal. By outsourcing the problem of intolerance to American conservatives, rather than confronting the viewer with it, Fazeli lets us live in the illusion that all is well as long as we don’t happen to stumble upon fundamentalists.
