Abstract

This article explores different forms that can be assumed by the dissociated voice. is a film essay reconstructing a situation Shewring experienced. and are films made with an observation of the dissociated voice in mind; the former being the use of recorded voices in Beijing, the latter a written account of the author's experiences during filming, and a discussion of the notion of the uncanny.
