Abstract

The Argentinian Dramatherapy Association held its First International Drama Therapy Practicum in Mendoza, Argentina, in July 2022. The event provided six students and new practitioners supervised practice and advanced training in drama therapy. Two clinical seminars were led by experienced professionals for an intensive three-week period that included actual client-contact, group supervision and master classes. In addition, they were acquainted with local practices of applied theatre, playback theatre, community theatre and theatre in education. This report briefly summarizes the project and incorporates reflections gathered from an open-ended questionnaire by the students and supervisors who participated in the project.

La Asociación Argentina de Dramaterapia (DAr) realizó su Primera Práctica Internacional de Dramaterapia en Mendoza, Argentina en julio del 2022. El evento brindó práctica supervisada y capacitación avanzada en dramaterapia a seis estudiantes y recientes egresados. Dos seminarios clínicos fueron dirigidos por profesionales capacitados durante un período intensivo de tres semanas que incluyeron contacto real con pacientes, supervisión grupal y clases magistrales. Además, los participantes se familiarizaron con las prácticas locales de teatro aplicado, teatro playback, teatro comunitario y teatro en la educación. Este informe resume brevemente el proyecto e incorpora reflexiones recogidas de un cuestionario abierto contestado por los estudiantes y supervisores que participaron en el proyecto.

Résumé

L’Association argentine de drama thérapie (DAr) a organisé son premier stage international de drama thérapie à Mendoza, en Argentine, en juillet 2022. L’événement a fourni à six étudiants et nouveaux praticiens une pratique supervisée et une formation avancée en drama thérapie. Deux séminaires cliniques ont été animés par des professionnels expérimentés pendant une période intensive de trois semaines qui comprenait un contact réel avec le client, une supervision de groupe et des classes de maître. De plus, ils se sont familiarisés avec les pratiques locales du théâtre appliqué, du théâtre de lecture, du théâtre communautaire et du théâtre dans l’éducation. Ce rapport résume brièvement le projet et intègre les réflexions recueillies, lors d’un questionnaire ouvert, par les étudiants et les superviseurs qui ont participé au projet.
