Abstract

The Early Childhood Music Education (ECME) commission of the International Society for Music Education (ISME) looks ahead to the future work of ECME, and specifically the pre-conference seminar to be held in Helsinki, July 2024, with the theme . With planning for the seminar underway, the commissioners aim is for ECME to be a sustained rich space, where researchers and practitioners can meet together to support and advocate for the role of music in the lives and well-being of young children and those who care for them.
